The engineer
LUKE O'CONNOR
Chartered structural engineering experience—from site investigation to detailed design.
Luke O'Connor is a Chartered Engineer with Engineers Ireland. He holds a BEng (Hons) in Structural Engineering from TU Dublin and an MSc in Computer Science from University College Dublin.
His career spans more than a decade of site engineering, construction, structural design and technical leadership. His experience includes reinforced-concrete structures and foundations, water-retaining structures, precast and modular building systems, structural steelwork, temporary works, finite-element analysis and the coordination of complex construction information.
That background informs LOC Structural's residential and light-commercial services. Luke combines engineering judgement with an understanding of load paths, buildability and construction sequence—whether assessing an existing property, designing a new opening or extension, or preparing transparent calculations to the relevant Eurocodes.
